May 3-5, 2011
Hampton Inn and Suites
New Orleans, Louisiana
The annual workshop is the Louisiana's premier conference for geospatial information technology and services professionals, including disaster response and recovery, web mapping, cartography, land use and land management, geographic information systems (GIS), emergency management, remote sensing and photogrammetry, and other related geospatial technologies.
This year we are proud to announce that the workshop will be held in the heart of New Orleans. The workshop hotel provides close proximity (walking distance) to all the great food, drink, and history the city has to offer! In addition to a fantastic location, we have also secured an amazing time slot. This year the workshop will fall between JazzFest weekends! Come early, stay late, don't miss this opportunity to capitalize on the timing and location of this event. Plan to attend the workshop AND JazzFest for a TRUE Social Networking event!
This year's workshop will showcase the role of GIS and Remote Sensing in response to the BP oil spill which dominated the summer headlines. Universities, State, Federal and Local governments along with private sector businesses will be presenting their mapping efforts during this crisis as well as other pressing issues facing the geospatial community.
